After 58 historic years as a trend-setter in the numismatic business, British Pobjoy Mint, Ltd. has closed its doors in December 2023. For Pobjoy’s final release they have minted the 1oz silver Pegasus Proof. A flagship series which began in 2018. This very limited offering features a one-ounce silver coin with a proof finish. Because of the importance of the event, each coin will feature a special privy mark, which is a horseshoe with a T in the middle to honor the legacy of Pobjoy Mint Master, Taya Pobjoy. This mint mark combines elements that tie to the Pegasus itself and to Taya’s love of horses.

The Farewell Pegasus coins have been individually authenticated and graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. NGC Ultra Cameo Proof 70, and each has been certified as a First Day of Issue specimen- meaning it was received by NGC withing 24 hours of the coins official release date. For the first and last time ever, Pobjoy Mint Master Taya Pobjoy will hand-sign the labels that are within a portion of the graded and encapsulated assortment. The custom designed label features a Pegasus in the Pobjoy Mint’s official logo colors, the “Taya Pobjoy Horseshoe Privy” and Taya’s hand written signature.
