In Honor of the 100th anniversary of Route 66, a NEW limited-edition Panda was unveiled at the World’s Fair of Money in Oklahoma City last August. The design features the Oklahoma City skyline with an oil rig and windmill in the background. The main design cleverly features a panda behind the wheel of a red vintage convertible with the “Route 66” interstate logo in red, white, and blue. The reverse design is the same as the Oklahoma state quarter.

Each panda comes in a storybook style Lucite holder that doubles as the Certificate of Authenticity. The coins mintage of 2,448 celebrates each of Route 66’s 2,448 miles.
