Carstensz Pyramid 5oz Silver First Release MS70
$695.00
Struck in five weighty ounces of 99.9 highly pure silver, this coin features the arduous Carstensz Pyramid, located in Papua, Indonesia. Over the steep north face we ascend Oceania’s highest summit, which towers 4884 meters (16,024 ft) above sea level. The Carstensz Pyramid is named after the Dutch seafarer and explorer Jan Carstensz. In Indonesia, the mountain is called “Puncak Jaya” by the Indigenous people, which means “victory peak.”
The 5th edition of the series, struck by the B.H. Mayer Mint using Coin Invest Trust (CIT) SmartMinting Reloaded© technology, feature a vastly higher relief and are even more stunning than its predecessors. The refined partial coloring intensifies the detailed representation of the mountain. Graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as being in flawless Proof-70 (PF70) condition, this coin has been certified as First Release (FR).
